Another Great Auction 26th February
A vintage Chinese Suzhou silk embroidery depicting a kitten stalking a green praying mantis among blades of grass. The work is executed in silk thread on a light-toned silk ground. In the upper left corner are black calligraphic characters reading tianzhen huopo alongside a red artist seal. The textile is housed under glass with a white mat and a dark-stained wood frame featuring faux-bamboo carving and a decorative brass hanger.
