This lot consists of a Royal Worcester fine bone china commemorative plate and a matching two-handled loving cup, produced to celebrate the millennium in 2000 AD. Both pieces feature the Millennium Gold pattern, characterized by celestial and historical motifs in a palette of dark blue, light blue, and gold. The decoration includes Roman numeral clock faces, planetary illustrations, and depictions of human achievement. The items are marked on the base with the Royal Worcester backstamp. The cup is further identified as part of a limited edition of 500 specially commissioned by Sinclairs, with this specific example being number 286.
