A mid-20th century English wooden music box by Tallent of Old Bond Street, crafted in the style of a miniature Tudor coffer. The dark-stained wooden exterior is embellished with four inset heraldic shields depicting various emblems, including a red cross and fleur-de-lis, and is further accented by brass-toned metal tacks and two small bas-relief metal plaques on one end. The hinged lid opens to reveal a dual-compartment interior in a light-coloured wood finish. The base retains a yellow manufacturer’s label reading Tallent OF OLD BOND STREET. MADE IN ENGLAND alongside a metal winding key.
