A hardstone cameo brooch featuring a classical-style female profile carved in relief from a light green and white hardstone. The central oval cameo is set within a 9ct gold bezel, surrounded by a decorative openwork frame with scalloped edges and textured diagonal supports. The reverse of the frame and the pin are stamped with hallmarks including a 375 mark, signifying 9-carat gold. This brooch, weighing 4g, is secured with a traditional pin and C-clasp fastening.
