A French-made barograph recording instrument housed in a rectangular, five-glass brass frame with a hinged cover. The internal clockwork mechanism features an eight-tier aneroid capsule stack connected to a recording arm, designed to track atmospheric pressure on a paper chart wrapped around a rotating drum. The brass baseplate is stamped with MADE IN FRANCE, a manufacturer’s mark consisting of an anchor flanked by the letters L and M, and the serial number 354024. The recording chart is printed in French, indicating days of the week such as DIMANCHE and SAMEDI. The instrument is accompanied by a brass winding key and a removable drum cap.
