A pair of matt porcelain figurines, each depicting a young child seated in an ornate, high-backed armchair. The figures are finished in a muted sage green and white palette with hand-painted gold detailing on the scrollwork of the chairs and the children’s clothing. One figurine depicts a child in a long nightgown, while the other shows a child in a two-piece pyjama set holding a small doll. The reverse of each chair features decorative heart-shaped cutouts. Each piece bears an impressed numerical mark 2169 on the lower reverse.
