An Art Deco sterling silver cigarette case of slim rectangular form with rounded corners. The exterior features engine-turned decoration consisting of fine vertical lines and includes a vacant rectangular cartouche to the front. The interior is gold-washed and retains an elasticated retaining strap. The item bears full British hallmarks for Birmingham, 1929, with the maker mark S.B and S LTD for S. Blanckensee and Son Ltd.
