A cast brass door knocker featuring a relief figure of a Roman centurion in military attire, including a helmet and breastplate. The figure is hinged to an elongated backplate, functioning as the striker. The backplate is provided with two circular apertures for mounting. The metal displays a dark, aged patina with visible oxidation.
