A collection of United States military embroidered patches, tabs, and rank insignia, primarily dating from the Vietnam War era. The group includes a yellow shield-shaped Special Forces Viet Nam patch featuring a green beret and crossed arrows. Accompanying tabs include Special Forces, Airborne, and Ranger designations. Also present is a parachute rigger wing patch, a 7th Infantry Division hourglass patch, and several olive drab rank insignia for non-commissioned officers. The pieces are constructed of embroidered thread on fabric backings in various colours including olive drab, blue, yellow, and black. Several items show evidence of prior attachment to uniforms.
