Another Great Auction 12th March 2026
A vintage brass miner’s safety lamp by the Hockley Lamp & Limelight Company. The lamp features a cylindrical brass upper body and a lower glass enclosure protected by a cage of vertical brass bars. Affixed to the front is an oval brass identification plaque embossed with the maker’s name and unrecorded fields for a Colliery No. and Serial No. The top of the lamp is fitted with a large, integrated brass suspension hook.
