Another Great Auction 12th March 2026
A covered glass dish of circular form, possibly a butter tub or trinket box, featuring a domed lid and matching base crafted from pink satin-finished glass. The exterior of the lid is decorated with hand-painted enamelled motifs, including a black swallow, a golden-yellow fence, and various floral sprays with pink roses and blue blossoms. A decorative border of raised white enamelled dots follows the circumference of the lid, which is finished with a clear spherical glass finial. The style and execution of the enamel work are characteristic of late 19th-century Bohemian glass production, often attributed to makers such as Moser. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the piece.
Diameter: 6 inches.
