A mid-century utilitarian wooden bench of British military or government origin. The piece features a light-toned wood frame with a rectangular top covered in tan canvas. The canvas is tautly stretched over the frame and secured along the edges with a series of small metal tacks. The bench is supported by four splayed legs. The underside of the wooden frame bears several black ink stamps, including the British Broad Arrow (pheon) mark, the date 1952, LIMITED, CAT No. 50 3017, and the letters FTAR.
