A carved oak stool standing 17 inches tall, featuring an octagonal top. The seat is decorated with a carved crest of the Order of the Garter, featuring the motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE within a circular garter surrounding a central shield with the Cross of St. George. The stool is constructed in the 17th-century style with four turned legs joined by a rectangular box stretcher. The timber is finished with a dark stain and polished surface.
