Another Great Auction 12th March 2026
A collection of two early 20th-century recording devices designed for security and watchman patrols. The first device is housed in a rectangular oak case of dovetail construction, featuring a heavy metal carrying handle and a red triangular safety label inscribed SAFETY FIRST / MANCHESTER / T. HUDSONS EXOR LTD. A clock face is visible through a glass aperture on the side of the case, marked with the name Judes. The second device is contained within a dark brown leather carrying case with an integrated shoulder strap. The interior reveals a black mechanical component and five metal station keys held in individual clips. A small paper label adhered to the inside of the lid is handwritten with the name WILSON.
