A trio of white glazed porcelain medical items produced for The Boots Chemists. The group comprises a Dr Nelson’s Improved Inhaler, an Ideal Bed and Douche Slipper, and a Perfection bedpan. The inhaler is of bulbous form with a flared neck, featuring black transfer-printed instructions for use and The Boots Chemists branding; it retains a cork stopper and glass mouthpiece. The Ideal Bed and Douche Slipper bedpan is marked with registration number 669655 and the company logo. The Perfection bedpan is an open-style vessel with corresponding transfer-printed labels. All items feature early 20th-century typography and functional labelling.
