Another Great Auction 12th March 2026
A limited edition commemorative display produced by The Bradford Exchange in 2020 to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The piece features a central landscape print by artist Denis Pannett depicting two Hawker Hurricane aircraft in flight, complemented by a smaller oval inset of a Spitfire. Mounted within the navy blue matting are two 24-carat gold-plated crown coins; one featuring a Hawker Hurricane and the other a Spitfire against a full-colour Union Jack background. The display includes various text panels with iconic Winston Churchill quotes, including Never in the field of human conflict did so many owe so much to so few. Housed in a dark wood-effect frame with gold-tone fillets, the piece is hand-numbered 037/299 on the front panel. A certificate of authenticity is affixed to the reverse.
