Attributed to Watts & Co., this roll contains several metres of heavy-weight damask upholstery fabric featuring a classical floral pattern. The textile is rendered in a deep maroon palette with a raised, cut velvet-style texture set against a flat-woven ground. The fabric is finished with a ribbed selvedge edge and is wound onto a cylindrical cardboard core. No maker’s marks or labels are visible. The design and construction are in the style of the Bellini or Hermitage patterns produced by Watts & Co.
