A mid-20th-century toy xylophone set featuring the television character Sooty. The set comprises a nine-note instrument with colour-coded metal keys, a yellow-painted wooden mallet, and a companion booklet titled Sooty’s Xylophone Song Book No. 2. The instrument is presented in its original illustrated cardboard box. The packaging and songbook identify the manufacturer as Monkton Products of Monk Bretton, Barnsley, with the character rights registered by Sooty Concessions Ltd. The songbook includes twelve tunes designed for use with the colour-coded notation system.
