Another Great Auction 12th March 2026
This lot comprises two glass soda syphons from British mineral water manufacturers. The first example features a fluted glass body with acid-etched branding for Beckett Bros Shaw Lane Mineral Water Works Barnsley. It is fitted with an engraved metal spout marked Beckett Bros Barnsley. The second syphon is a smooth-bodied vessel with a flared base, bearing an etched label for Lissimore and Co Ltd Lisco Pure Table Waters Tividale Tipton, with a corresponding engraved metal top. Both vessels retain their internal glass dip tubes and are marked for the British Syphon Co. Ltd. London.
