This early 20th-century handwritten pharmacist’s prescription ledger contains entries dated between 1924 and 1928. The large-format volume is constructed with cloth-covered boards and marbled paper endpapers. The interior is organised with an alphabetical thumb index and contains numerous pages of handwritten pharmaceutical records, including patient names, prescription details in Latin and English, and numerical reference codes. Several printed labels and advertisements are pasted to the inside front cover for various London-based dispensing chemists, including Morrell Bros. of 806 Kennington Park Road, Byatt Walker of Clapham Road, and Frederick K. Morrell of 306 Kennington Park Road. A prominent label for Morrell’s Essence for Lameness in Horses & Cattle is also present, alongside a printer’s label for Silverlock, Engraver & Printer, 92 Blackfriars Road, London S.E.
