A collection of vintage lithographed metal tins of various shapes and sizes, featuring commercial, commemorative, and decorative motifs. The group includes a commemorative tin for the 1953 coronation of Queen Elizabeth II featuring a central portrait and royal cypher. Commercial examples include a Peek Frean’s Assorted Cocktail Biscuits tin, a Gee’s Linctus Pastilles container manufactured by Boots Pure Drug Co. Ltd. of Nottingham, and a Best Cut Plug tobacco tin. Other items feature decorative scenes including a Highland cattle landscape, a pastoral cottage scene, floral blossom patterns, and a small wildlife-themed drawing pin container. The tins are constructed from lithographed tinplate with various lid configurations including hinged and lift-off varieties.
