Another Great Auction
A square ceramic tile featuring a hand-decorated illustration of a traditional Dutch harbour scene. The composition depicts a fisherman in the foreground mending nets, set against a backdrop of sailboats, windmills, and figures in period attire. The reverse of the tile is marked with a green Royal Schwabap backstamp for Ter Steege BV, Holland, including the text Handdecorata. It also features an impressed house-logo mark containing the numeral 98. A corded hanging loop is fixed to the reverse.
