A group of two ceramic jars of varying origins and materials. The first is a cylindrical earthenware jar by Ashdale Pottery, featuring a cream-coloured glaze and transfer-printed decoration of a bird within a landscape, accompanied by the text KITCHEN UTENSILS in stylised lettering. The base bears the circular stamp ASHDALE POTTERY PRODUCTS MADE IN ENGLAND. The second item is a porcelain jar with a matching lidded cover topped with a globular finial. The exterior is decorated with polychrome scenes from the Bayeux Tapestry, depicting a ship with figures and the Latin inscription NAVIGIO:. The base is marked Tapisserie de Bayeux LIMOGES FRANCE.
