Another Great Auction
A pair of glazed ceramic figurines produced by Wade for the Tetley Tea advertising campaign. The group comprises the characters Gaffer, depicted with spectacles and a red necktie, and Sydney, shown with a grey beard and blue overalls. Both figures are rendered in a stylized manner with a smooth, high-gloss finish. Each figurine is marked on the base with the Wade England manufacturer stamp and a blue Tetley brand logo.
