Another Great Auction
A collection of glazed porcelain animal figurines featuring various bird and mammal studies. The group includes a Goebel wren perched on a branch, bearing a paper label titled Zaunkönig and a West Germany mark. A seated brown and white puppy figurine displays the blue V-and-bee mark for Goebel to the base. A standing rabbit in a yellow coat is marked BEATRIX POTTER and dated 1996. Also included is a simplified white animal figure stamped 1003 MADE IN USSR to the base, and a robin study with a partially obscured foil label. The figurines feature naturalistic hand-painted decoration and high-gloss glazes.
