Another Great Auction
A pair of bookends, each featuring a bust of William Shakespeare. The busts are cast in metal with a dark patinated finish, depicting the subject in seventeenth-century attire with a high collar and doublet. Each bust is mounted on a pedestal base which is incised with the name SHAKESPEARE on the side. The figures are secured to L-shaped wooden supports with a dark-stained finish and visible grain. The wooden bases feature a stepped design at the edges.
