Another Great Auction
A pair of stylised ceramic salt and pepper shakers manufactured by Wade, depicting the comic strip characters Andy Capp and Flo. The figurines are finished in glossy glazes of green, black, white, and yellow. Flo is portrayed wearing a white apron with a yellow and green kerchief, while Andy is depicted in a cap with hands in his pockets. Each shaker is marked to the underside with ANDY CAPP, the respective character name, © 1997 Mirror Group Newspapers Ltd, and the WADE manufacturer mark. Both items retain their original plastic stoppers, embossed with manufacturer information from Stoke-on-Trent, England.
