A Goebel porcelain cachepot from the Artis Orbis collection, featuring a printed reproduction of an Impressionist landscape painting by Claude Monet depicting sailing boats. The vessel is of flared cylindrical form with a pedestal base. It is decorated with gold-tone borders to the rim and base, with a gold-tone frame surrounding the central landscape. A facsimile Claude Monet signature is applied in gold-tone script near the base. The underside is marked with the printed black logo for ARTIS ORBIS Goebel, including the text © MMI / GOEBEL and TRADEMARK LICENSED BY MBIE GERMANY.
