A vintage clockwork novelty toy in the form of a mouse, constructed from lithographed tinplate. The toy features a grey fur-patterned body with pink accents to the inner ears and a black cord tail. It is fitted with a fixed metal winding key to the side. The item is accompanied by its original illustrated cardboard box, which is printed with the title A WIND-UP TOY WONDER MOUSE and depicts a stylised blue mouse. The side panels of the box include mechanical operating instructions. The box is marked MADE IN JAPAN and bears the manufacturer logo for Yone.
