Another Great Auction
Two glazed porcelain bird figurines manufactured by Goebel, West Germany, dating to the mid-to-late 20th century. The first figurine depicts a Blue Titmouse, identified on the label as Blaumeise, perched upon a branch, featuring polychrome decoration in blue, yellow, and white. The second figurine depicts a small owl mounted on a branch-form base with spotted brown and yellow plumage. Both items bear the blue underglaze Goebel W. Germany manufacturer’s mark to the underside. The Blue Titmouse retains its original multi-language paper identification label. The owl figurine features an impressed model number and is fitted with green felt pads to the base.
